Bluebird Montessori promotes hands-on learning experiences. Children are encouraged to follow their interests and curiosities in order to build a strong cognitive foundation.
A small-scale, intimate setting means that every child has a personal relationship with their teachers. The program is tailored according to each child’s development in order to meet their cognitive, motor, emotional, and social needs.
Community is at the center. Bluebird uses a multi-age grouping to foster peer collaboration. This provides older children the opportunity to assist younger children in order to cement their understanding, build confidence, and create community. Meanwhile, younger children benefit from opportunity to observe their older peers.
Bluebird Montessori School offers children “structured choice” to promote agency in each child’s learning, socialization, and play processes. Extended unstructured outdoor play in the Bluebird Garden is also an essential daily component of learning at Bluebird.
